How much does a garden design cost?
Our distance design package starts from £395, basic garden packages with 2 visits start from £795.
What if I don’t like the design you do for me?
Hopefully this won’t happen but if it does you will be offered a second design concept, or we agree to end the process, and no further payment is required (the deposit is kept on the understanding that all work up to this point was in good faith)
How are payments made?
Payments can be made by cheque or bank transfer. They will be invoiced ahead of time. Typically, there will be a deposit payment of approximately 30% of the work value with a balancing payment on completion.
Can I survey my own garden to keep costs down?
This is only sensible for smaller distance design projects that typically have a ‘blank canvas’ such as new build properties. All other design work requires the designer to assess not only the physical features but also identify plants and trees to make the design more meaningful and accurate.
How do I get the garden built and planted?
You can do it yourself for more straightforward projects, you will have guidance from Garden Inspiration that has been building gardens for over 25 years. You can invite local, reputable landscape companies to quote off the design (https://www.landscaper.org.uk) or (https://www.bali.org.uk/home/) . Garden Inspiration can quote on the planting aspects of the project.
Why do I need to have my garden designed?
You don’t. From years of experience though, a well-designed garden pulls together the conflicting uses and views of those using it in a creative and coordinated manner that provides a framework for present and future enjoyment. Also, our experience of plants and materials is priceless when it comes to investing in your own garden ensuring that you get it right first time – saving you money.
What areas do you cover?
Distance design can be throughout the UK. Garden design with visits and planting services is generally undertaken in the following areas: Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Bristol Area, Cotswolds, West Midlands.
I would like a distance design package but need help with the survey.
You will get simple instructions on how to survey your garden and what photos you need to take. We can also talk you through the process. The more accurate you can be the more accurate the design will be.
